Properly Improper

I was visiting my friend Kelly the other night, and after walking into her apartment I went to take off my jacket and realized that I’d grabbed the wrong shirt that morning (I’ve got whole host of t-shirts that I use for riding) and the very act of unzipping my jacket might bring Kelly’s opinion of me down a couple of percentage points. Now, just to give you a little context, if nothing else, I would describe Kelly as someone who I would put on a clean shirt for. We used to live in the same building, so I’ve never really done that, but I can imagine that people that she knows want to look presentable around her (she also works in fashion). Sadly, the shirt I was wearing, however, was not the clean shirt I’d had in mind.
I give you, my choice of attire that evening…

Luckily, Kelly thought it was funny, and not in that Patrick doesn’t know how to dress in public kind of way…
Though, knowing me, you may ask why I use such a boss t-shirt for riding? Well, shirts like this only have the full effect once they’re weathered a little. Slipping it into my riding rotation until summer should provide me with the desired “worn look” that gems like this deserve. After that, I’ll be keeping it on a hangar and only wearing it on special occasions (or dates).
